Adaptive Aquatics at the Y

The Y has developed an Adaptive Aquatics program offering swim lessons for children with autism, intellectual and physical disabilities ages 4 – 14. Classes have been adapted for children with special needs teaching basic water safety and swimming skills. Our adaptive aquatics lessons are for children who may find it hard to learn in a large group environment. Classes are based on a 1:4 ratio, with instructors who have years of adaptive aquatics experience. Parent/guardian must be in the pool during lessons at all times.

Prices are $35 to $45 depending on your membership status and number of lessons and you can find more information and register at the Shasta Family YMCA website.
